Ogden Nash

To A Small Boy Standing On My Shoes While I Am Wearing Them

Let's straighten this out, my little man,
And reach an agreement if we can.
I entered your door as an honored guest.
My shoes are shined and my trousers are pressed,
And I won't stretch out and read you the funnies
And I won't pretend that we're Easter bunnies.
If you must get somebody down on the floor,
What in the hell are your parents for?
I do not like the things that you say
And I hate the games that you want to play.
No matter how frightfully hard you try,
We've little in common, you and I.
The interest I take in my neighbor's nursery
Would have to grow, to be even cursory,
And I would that performing sons and nephews
Were carted away with the daily refuse,
And I hold that frolicsome daughters and nieces
Are ample excuse for breaking leases.
You may take a sock at your daddy's tummy
Or climb all over your doting mummy,
But keep your attentions to me in check,
Or, sonny boy, I will wring your neck.
A happier man today I'd be
Had someone wrung it ahead of me.

The Flood

The Flood: When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful and they married any of them they chose. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.

How does Gods understanding outweigh ours?

Before the Flood: In the beginning Adam lived to 930 years before he died.

Walt Whitman

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up--for you the flag is flung--for you the bugle trills; 10
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths--for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won; 20
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead

Gov't and People

How can we respond to our Government in dire situations? How can we vocalize our thoughts, opinions and efforts in a Global Society? These questions lay barren to unknown answers as we are seeing a rise in fear based society.

Read this story of how Government Officials destroyed the home of Pastor Esmir Torreblanca his wife, and their two young children

Pastor Esmir Torreblanca, his wife Marieta,
and their two young children, ages 7 and
11, were left homeless on July 2 after
Cuban authorities raided and demolished
their home, which also housed the
Establishing the Kingdom of God Church
located in the eastern city of Santiago de
Cuba. Government authorities including
state security and Cuban Communist Party
officials made an unannounced visit around
6 am while the family was still sleeping,
breaking through the front door armed with
batons and machetes. Authorities had set
up a blockade around the church, and when
church members tried to break through the
barriers, their identification was confiscated
and they were threatened with arrest.
Officials were seen loading the church
property and family belongings into trucks
before bulldozing the building.

Please stand by Pastor Esmir's side as we confront and defeat Global Dictatorships, Government Anarchy, and different problems that we are faced with as a people on the same rock.

Mark R Slaughter

Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work:

Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work, sleep, work, sleep,
Work.

Oh free me please with gentle ease
From work, sleep, work, sleep, work!
This odium, pounding tedium
Of my work, sleep, work, sleep, work.

Just whisk me off to lands afar
From work, sleep, work, sleep, work -
That grinding train of rhythmic pain
Called ‘Work, sleep, work, sleep, work.’

Poor neural circuits fizzle and pop
In work, sleep, work, sleep, work,
In trying to make some sense of all this
Work, sleep, work, sleep, work.

But Hark! I see a golden gleam -
A saving spirit of hope:
‘You’re fired! ’ He screams. What news to bear,
This wondrous hangman’s rope!

So now I’m free, released from all this
Work, sleep, work, sleep, work -
Eternal peace and rest for me, no
Work, sleep, work, sleep, work.

Family

As for me I call to God

Ah, the bread and butter of life. Family, it seems is the hardest part of life to keep together. Today I found myself in the mists of an argument between family members. It seems like a bunch of mis-communcation was going on..Causing me to get into some drama that I otherwise would like to avoid.

I realize that myself, I need to understand life more, but when I get in family issues I cannot keep myself silent. I'd love for all my family members to be complete whole and happy with life. Not to worry about money, the world, or anything. I'd love for my family to be the best they can be. Not anything, else.

But sometimes, (well, everyday) we all fall short from God's calling for us. We need to see the fact that God is calling us out not only in conviction for our sins, but for his loving kindness to spread throughout us.

Our sins he says have been scattered to the depths of the oceans, and his mercy lasts forever. So when we find ourselves in tight binds, we must realize and recognize forgiveness in all our ways.

Life is sacred, and weather or not we understand that isn't the issue. The issue is if life is sacred, then how do we finally stop hassling ourselves with un-natural and devoid things. It seems the urgency of this, is what surpasses the understanding.

Thus, the Savior of mankind, Jesus Christ.

In order for us to be reconciled unto God we need intercession between Jesus and Him, and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 56:3

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Regardless of whatever life throws at us, we need to realize we are more than just animals. We are spirits of God, and we are to understand that we are Spirits of God.

Praise Yah :)

Hear the Word!

Hear the word of the LORD you nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands:
Jeremiah 31:10
The Word of God gives life to our dead bones, our dead spirit, our dead identity. It revives us to the point where we can strive for meaning, and prosper for truth.
In our daily battle, to live and breathe, to eat and work. We are constantly washed up ashore, we are constantly drifting.
But with God's Word, his Love, and his Power we can rest in Him always. He says he has provided a way before us, and after.
I will never leave you nor will I forsake you says the LORD! Amen!
Our Power rest in us giving God constant Praise as he swiftly battles our enemies and his.

Psalm 89

Psalm 89
1-7

I will sing of the LORD's unfailing love forever!
Young and old will hear of your faithfulness
Your unfailing love will last forever
Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.

The LORD said "I have made a covenant with David, my chosen servant. thing like the LORD?
I have sworn this oath to him
I will establish your descendants as kings forever;
they will sit on your throne from now until eternity."
All heaven will praise your great wonders,
LORD;
myriads of angels will praise you for your faithfulness.
For who in all the heaven can compare with the LORD?
What mightiest angel is any like the LORD?
The highest angelic powers stand in awe of God,
He is far more awesome than all who surround his throne.

- How beautiful is the LORD's majesty? The Bible commands us, as true believers in the savior to seek first the Kingdom of God, to have child-like faith in all the things we do, that God will, and can deliver us from any problem.

We are loved, and God is willing to receive us as his dearly beloved if we just rethink our problems, and remind ourselves that God is in control of everything.

Isaiah
49:13-16

Shot for joy, you heavens;
rejoice, you earth;
burst into song, you mountains!
For the LORD comforts his people
and he will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me,
the Lord has forgotten me."
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Thought she may forget
I will not forget you!
See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.

Scripture like this is comforting, especially in today's age, it seems not a day goes by when you don't see something terrible, sad or unappealing go by on Planet Earth. That's why we need every little drop of God's grace in our lives in order to live a harmonies life. I know for me and my life, I've had at least 8 years of my life torn out from before my eyes, with sex, violence, drugs, and the evil ideologies of this world.

But through the Bible, Jesus himself as the best ally anyone could possibly wish for, a sense of humor and a strong fear of Gods complete holiness, I find a secure sense of true peace is most certainly going to happen.

There are passages in the Bible that talk about God's justice, and wrath for the children of the disobedient, and I know that God has severely disciplined me for my injustices' but how much more does his Grace and Mercy abide in my life that he would engrave me on his hands as his own?

It makes me feel a hella' lot more special than anything from this world!

"The whole Earth is Full of His Glory"

It seems when we stop, pause and just let go of all our worries, and negative thoughts, we come to a point where we can meditate on God's work and his mighty voice.

What are God's works?

You and me silly! The World, the trees, and birds the mountains, valleys, and streams.

The people and the Savior, all of God's Works are on display for those who diligently seek them.

Volcano's, tremors all sorts of Earth's features are before the LORD...But one thing that God created, that cannot be in his presence, is Evil. God completely overlooked the entirety of Evil by sending his First Creation down to Earth to die for our Sins. This amazes me, as I read such books as Tortured for Christ, and hear the massacres of death that have been strung across the world...

My Hope is that everyone Comes to know Jesus for who he is, and not what the World believes him to be, he is the amazing Savior, the Holy Child of Israel, the One and Only, Yeshua...

And he will save you.
